The modular motor is here to stay, and Paxton Automotive Corporation has introduced
supercharging systems for all '96-current 4.6 liter Mustang GT's, featuring the NOVI-2000RR (reverse rotation) gear-driven centrifugal supercharger-the largest, most powerful reverse rotation centrifugal supercharger available. The NOVI-2000RR is the same as the original NOVI-2000, except everything is built in a mirror image so the supercharger can be mounted "backwards," with the intake facing towards the front of the engine. This allows the drive pulley to be spun by the engine accessory belt, eliminating the need for an additional supercharger drive system. This system delivers boost pressure of 10-13 psig when using the supplied pulley.
The *Non Tuned* NOVI-2000RR system for the 1999 4.6 liter Mustang GT is the only supercharging system that features beefy 1/2" thick, billet aluminum black anodized mounting brackets, and cast aluminum, rock-honed discharge tube. Power increases will vary depending on fuel system and computer chip calibration. This system does not include a fuel system or calibration components. Aftermarket fuel pump, injectors and ECM tuning will be required for proper operation. |
