The modular motor is here to stay, and Paxton Automotive Corporation has
introduced supercharging systems for all '96-current 4.6 liter Mustang GT's,
featuring the NOVI-2000RR (reverse rotation) gear-driven centrifugal
supercharger-the largest, most powerful reverse rotation centrifugal
supercharger available. The NOVI-2000RR is the same as the original
NOVI-2000, except everything is built in a mirror image so the supercharger
can be mounted "backwards," with the intake facing towards the front of the
engine. This allows the drive pulley to be spun by the engine accessory
belt, eliminating the need for an additional supercharger drive system. At a
conservative 8-10 psig of boost, this NOVI-2000RR supercharging system
produced over 360 horsepower and nearly 370 lb/ft of torque at the motor on
91 octane pump gas!
The NOVI-2000RR system for the 2000 4.6 liter
Mustang GT's is the only supercharging system that features beefy 1/2"
thick, billet aluminum black anodized mounting brackets, and cast aluminum,
rock-honed discharge tube. The 2000 GT, with its "returnless" fuel system,
receives high-flow injectors to provide the engine with the additional fuel
it needs under boost conditions, plus a voucher for a custom-calibrated
computer chip to maximize engine performance.
Like all Paxton
Automotive street supercharging systems, this NOVI-2000RR supercharging
system for the 2000 Mustang GT is 50 state legal, OBD II compatible, and
come with all necessary hardware, plumbing and a detailed instruction
manual. |
